Leading Worship

I have been scouring Bob Sorge's Exploring Worship in order to continue my hands-on worship leader training. One of the greatest assets that I have in learning to be a more gracious and effective leader in praise and worship has been my mentor, Rick Muchow.

We have been working on making sure that I am freed up to pursue the creative call that God has on my life and ministry at Yosemite church. I am so excited to see some of the daily responsibilities that I have had on my plate be taken off so that I will be able to focus on my “sweet spot” in music, art and leadership.

Just came across this line in Sorge's book- “Good worship leaders do not learn manipulation (of a congregation), but they do learn exhortation. They do not try to control, but they do seek to inspire.”

Awesome truth!!!
