Waiting

Seems like so much of our time is spent waiting. Waiting in line at the grocery store, sitting in the waiting room at the hospital, waiting to hear from the Lord…

I want to be more efficient in my idle time. Practicing to be a disciple of Jesus means I have have to look at my day as an opportunity to be in the presence of God instead of just blankly staring at a wall.

Actively praying- expressing gratitude, interceding for others, memorizing scripture, meditating on the Word of God, actively pursuing God through worship… These are the things that I want to be about in the idle moments.

As Dave Ramsey says about finances, “every dollar has a name,” I want it to be true of my time- “every minute has a purpose.”
